At 23 years old, Barrington Irving is the youngest african-american pilot to fly around the world in a single engine, general aviation airplane. His aircraft, N731EA, named "Inspiration" has taken him around the globe in a few short months. After one more stop in Mobile, he will complete his journey where he started in Miami.

This DC-6 nose will become a permanent attraction to the 1940 Air Terminal Museum in the future. For the moment, it sits in front of the museum, waiting for its transformation.

08-JUN-2007 Volunteers of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum gathered to help clean up the Larson hangar where the Lockheed Lodestar is kept, along with other equipment. In addition to being cleaned, the St. Louis helicopter was also moved into the hangar.

The May 2007 Wings & Wheels saw the largest group of aircraft on the ramp to date, with 10+ planes, and one of the largest crowds, this was one of the most successful Wings & Wheels ever!
