JetStar head-on!

The Lockheed L-1329 JetStar (USAF C-140) is a corporate jet that was produced from the early 1960s through the 1970s. This prime example, N18BH, a 1967 JetStar I, is owned by BM Construction Company, and hangered at EFD.

JetStars were seen in the movies Goldfinger and Face Off, and Elvis owned one named "Hound Dog 2" that is displayed at Graceland. The aircraft pictured was once owned by comedian Bob Hope, hence the registration, N18BH!

"I think it was worth getting up at 5am, driving 1.5 hours to IAH and standing in the cold morning breeze to catch this brand new aircraft owned by Colgan Air on it's first 45 minute demonstration flight for CO execs!"

New Life Flight Eurocopters!

N457JD, the just-delivered 2007 EUROCOPTER DEUTSCHLAND GMBH MBB-BK 117 C-2 photographed at Pearland Regional airport, their south base and fleet maintenance facility.

Even though the airframes are similar, the aircraft systems are vastly improved, prompting Eurocopter to rename it the EC-145 to differentiate it from the BK-117.

N457JD is just one of six newly delivered airframes. Life Flight's pilots have all transitioned to the new glass cockpit aircraft and the fleet is operational, retiring three BK117s and a B0105.

Hermann Hospital's Life Flight program started in 1976 as America's second air medical program, flying the SA319B Alouette.
