Tora! Tora! Tora!

Since 1972, the Confederate Air Force's Tora! gang has been recreating the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor, "A date which will live in infamy".

Jim Ryan, Tora Lead, had a vision for the new publicity art for his Tora! Tora! Tora! Gang. As usual, it included aircraft and a wall of fire. Instead of setting up a single camera angle, he decided to set up 4 separate "walls of fire" to be blown in 4 separate passes. Jim came to HoustonSpotter's own Kevin Hong (khong) and Christopher Ebdon (EFDspotter) to get his shots from different angles. Shown here are the results of the last pass of the evening utilizing a Zeke, Kate and Val taken at KLBX on Tora Practice Weekend 2008.

JetStars were seen in the movies Goldfinger and Face Off, and Elvis owned one named "Hound Dog 2" that is displayed at Graceland. The aircraft pictured was once owned by comedian Bob Hope, hence the registration, N18BH!
